Who are the FRIENDS?
We are a volunteer organization interested in supporting, improving, and expanding library services at the Deerfield Public Library.
We are once again planning a year of work on behalf of the Deerfield Public Library. To carry out our efforts we need your help. The library offers us many invaluable services including preschool story hours, book discussions, and a summer reading program for the kids. We need your support to continue those services and to plan for additional activities and services.
What is our purpose?
To promote and improve library services, materials, and facilities for the Deerfield community; to stimulate gifts, memorials and bequests to the Library; to provide volunteer support in strengthening the Library's program; and to encourage the broadest possible use of its facilities, materials and services.

We know you spend many personal hours helping the FRIENDS. We hope the FRIENDS help to make your jobs a little easier.
The FRIENDS Of The Deerfield Public Library invite you to join our organization and support the library. Donations from individuals, local groups and businesses are important if the Library is to give the best possible service to all of you.
We meet several times during the year at the Deerfield Public Library and always announce our meetings in the Deerfield Independent. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting and /or receiving your dues.
We encourage you to join the Friends and become a member. You'll meet new friends, have fun, and be helping your local library continue an active and important role in helping all citizens expand their minds, their hearts, and their possibilities.
If you would like to donate your time and talents to the library, please contact Kaia Fry at 764-8102. We can always use food donations for fund raising events, help with general building maintenance, volunteers to help reshelve books, etc.
